Michael is a business process improvement professional with more than 25 years of leadership experience in operations, materials, manufacturing, quality, systems, and strategic supply chain management.  Mike has led organizations which have twice won the prestigious "Purchasing Metal of Excellence" for successful Supply-Chain transformation.  He has also written 2 books.  He served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management with Smiths Aerospace.  Prior to joining Smiths in December 2003, he was with Cessna Aircraft Company as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management and with Allied Signal as Corporate Director of Supply Chain Management.

Mike has over 26 years of Construction Management and Supply-Chain expertise. After receiving dual degrees from Arizona State University in Business and Communications, Mike went to work for Bechtel International. His Bechtel experience was invaluable, for here Mike learned how the "big boys" do things, with a written procedure for every possible contingency. Mike spent several years in their corporate and government offices learning the right way to do things, and an equal amount of time in the field, learning simply how to get things done.  He has gone on to manage many large and diverse projects and programs, including the design and development of New Mexico's Spaceport America, developing the operations plan for the world's first alternative, bio-frendly method of recycling used tires, and helping the State of California develop a program to build several new healthcare facilities for care of inmates.
