With over 32 years of experience Carl is a  seasoned  Operations Executive that has provided strategic direction and leadership for worldwide operations, including a workforce of 1800, at facilities in the US and SE Asia.  He has managed capital equipment and working capital expenditures of over $100M, and has a demonstrated track record in building and managing both domestic and offshore operations that include engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, quality, and factory operations.

After earning a PhD is Solid State Chemistry from Arizona State University, Carl began his career with Motorola Semiconductor performing product and process development.  He moved on to management of 2 product design centers before leaving to join Three Five Systems where he was responsible for managing the Operations organization for 20 years.  During this time he:

• lead a team that established within 9 months a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE) in Beijing, China; oversaw design, construction and operation of a 62,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility employing 800
• directed the design, construction and operation of a 1000 employee, 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Manila, Philippines
• created the strategy and executed the acquisition and integration of businesses in North America and Asia, adding $100M+ of revenue while providing leadership in outsourcing and lean manufacturing to improve the bottom line
• Initiated continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives resulting in lead time reductions of over 50%, yield improvements to >95% on all product lines and overall cost reductions of over 15%
• Managed $120M P&L, improving margins 5-10% annually for 5 consecutive years

Carl specializes in designing and implementing operational systems, supply chain management, managing manufacturing operations, site rationalization- consolidation and maximizing operational effectiveness. He has 20+ years of experience in managing multi-national, multi-site site operations in China, Malaysia, Philippines and US.
