Michael Katzorke

Michael Katzorke is a business process improvement professional with more than 25 years of  leadership experience in operations, materials, manufacturing, quality, systems, and strategic supply chain management.  Mike  served as Vice President Supply Chain Management with Smiths Aerospace.

As a Supply-Chain executive, Mike has been priveledged to lead organizations which won the Purchasing Magazine Medal of Professinoal Excellence, the most prestigious award in the field of Supply-Chain Management, not once, but twice. In addition, Mike has served on various Executive Boards for the Massachusets institute of Technology Supply-Chain/Operations program, CAPS, Purchasing Magazine's editoriial advisory board and others.

Prior to joining Smiths in December 2003, he was with Cessna Aircraft Company as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Management and with AlliedSignal as Corporate Director of Supply Chain Management. He has participated and led in the application of Malcolm Baldrige, Lean, and Six Sigma tools in integrated improvement processes at three Fortune 100 companies.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Utah and is a private pilot. He co-authored the executive supply chain book Straight to the Bottom Line.  Mike also served  on the Board of Directors for Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center and has been active in the Center for Advanced Purchasing Studies (CAPS) , Institute for Supply Management,  and the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).
