Jon Egen

Egen has over 25 years of experience in Supply Chain Management at large corporations (>$20B) and small businesses; manufacturing and service industries; and commercial and government customer and supplier bases. Jon’s focus has been on Low-Cost Global Sourcing and Corporate Commodity Management. He grew the material content supplied from low cost regions (Mexico, Central Eastern Europe and Asia) by 35% in one year.   He implemented a unique negotiation strategy that locked in production pricing on new product development hardware prior to design release.  He installed a supply chain organization to support production operations that grew 300% in nine months.

Jon has served as the Corporate Director for Global Sourcing and Strategic Relationships for Honeywell International.  He previously served as the Corporate Director for the Castings and Forgings Commodity at Honeywell, and also in strategic and tactical supply chain leadership roles at  the business operations level.  Jon thoroughly understands  the supply chain, and the impact that it can have on the bottom line.

Additional experience includes supply chain leadership positions at Simula, AlliedSignal, Garrett, American Express, and ADR Ultrasound.

Jon is a certified Six Sigma Supply Chain Black Belt, and a Certified Purchasing Manager.  He holds a Supply Chain Management degree from Arizona State University, and is a retired Army officer.

Jon’s unique ability to view supply chain in the broadest context, while fully comprehending the details, enables him to understand the most complex business situation and communicate clearly at  all levels.
